Creative Voice Students
Performance Intensive (next offered 2025-26)
Performance Intensive students will experience three, 3-hour group classes each school year, co-taught by Beth and Maggie Pitts, a fantastic dance and acting educator AND wonderful human being. This program is designed to prepare students for a variety of auditions, opportunities, and challenges in a supportive, process-focused environment. The Performance Intensive is geared toward high school students. If eighth graders/parents feel a strong need to participate, let me know and I'll consider it. Students who study with other voice teachers are welcome!
The fee for the Intensive is $300 total for the school year.
Class Dates
Sunday, August, afternoon
Sunday, January, afternoon
Sunday June, afternoon
Content
Each Sunday when we meet, we'll start with Storytelling through Movement Dance Class. Get ready to sweat and have a blast learning Broadway combinations! Then we'll move into Acting the Song class to learn how to set a scene, create a character, and communicate emotions in a 1-minute musical theater song cut. Our third hour will be spent in group discussion on topics that pertain to high school performers like Friendships and Competition in Performance Settings or Audition Skills.
- Develop vocal technique so they can sing freely in the styles they choose
- Build the skills to audition and perform more confidently and consistently
- Gain confidence and clarity about their own ability and skill development
- Perform in Recitals each year to share music with an audience, express themselves, and have fun!
